Khalo was born from our own health journeys—discovering Ayurveda not as rules, but as timeless wisdom rooted in flavor. We brought that wisdom into modern kitchens, making it as simple as reaching for salt and pepper.
Built collectively through family recipes, late-night tastings, and community feedback, Khalo puts ancient spices back where they belong: in your everyday cooking.

Many Hands. One Shared Love.
As a first-generation Indian American immigrant I got caught up in the overly processed Standard American diet during college. When I launched into my nearly decade long career launching and marketing new beauty and cosmetic products for luxury beauty brands, I began to develop gut health issues like IBS and leaky gut that left me debilitated. There is only so much that makeup can cover up.
It was during those challenging times that I found solace and healing in the comforting memories of my mother's kitchen, where the aroma of spices and the warmth of her cooking provided a sense of home and well-being.
Through hundreds of hours of FaceTime calls with her, I embarked on a journey of rediscovery, learning how to cook with intuition and applying the ancient ways she had been taught back in India.

At the heart of Khalo’s story lies a personal and ancestral journey.
As a first-generation Indian American, I spent years caught in the fast-paced rhythm of modern life until my own health challenges led me back to my roots — to my mother’s kitchen and the wisdom of Ayurveda. Cooking became my way to reconnect with the earth, my intuition, and the generations before me who understood that food is sacred medicine.
Through this journey, I discovered how deeply the earth provides what we need to heal — if we listen. Khalo is my sacred offering to the world: a way to help people transform their relationship with food, reconnect with nature, and remember that nourishment has the power to elevate our consciousness and heal our bodies.
