We want to unlock the healing power of our food.

We're doing this by making ancient Ayurvedic wisdom more approachable for our modern wellness.

At the heart of Khalo's origin story lies a deeply personal journey intertwined with the nurturing traditions passed down by our ancestors.

As a first-generation Indian American immigrant I got caught up in the overly processed Standard American diet during college. Over time I found myself developing gut health issues like IBS and leaky gut that left me debilitated. 

It was during those challenging times that I found solace and healing in the comforting memories of my mother's kitchen, where the aroma of spices and the warmth of her cooking provided a sense of home and well-being. 

Through hundreds of hours of FaceTime calls with her, I embarked on a journey of rediscovery, learning how to cook with intuition and applying the ancient ways she had been taught back in India. 

It was through her guidance and learning how to apply the science of Ayurveda that I healed my gut health and completely transformed my life. I realized that I could change how I felt in my body by just changing my food habits and adding in powerful spices and herbs. I wanted to share this magic with the rest of the world... and Khalo was born. 

I am on a mission to make Ayurvedic wisdom accessible to all, transforming how we approach food to live a more healthier and more balanced life.
